Today students were asked to observe six objects: a spoon, pencil, clear container with lemonade, an inflated balloon, honey and water. From their observations the students were asked to comment on each object’s shape, the way it moves and list appropriate describing words. Students then classified each object as a solid, liquid or gas based on the information they had collected and what they know about solids, liquids and gases.
Lots of great discussions and collaboration between groups! Well done 3/4’s.
What are some other examples of solids, liquids, gases that you can think of around your home?
